A Masterpiece Find and the last piece to the Wreckers combiner, Topspin!

We found the last figure we needed for the Autobot Wreckers combiner, Topspin!  This has been a really good week for adult Transformer collectors!  Toys R Us is doing us right and again, the price of 12.99 in southern California is nice compared to the 15.99 we have been paying for the past year!

We have all five now, now we can open them all and start playing.  And bigger news, we found a Masterpiece figure and exclusive at Toy R Us, Masterpiece Acid Storm!

We are still admiring the box and will probably open this weekend!  Our search continues for more great toy finds.  Everyone needs to check out Toys R Us and check the paper for any coupons they may have.  New figures and characters are coming in!

Looks like "Tuesday Morning" is the place for closeout KREO sets this week!

After my annual eye exam, I visited the Tuesday Morning next door to see if I could find some hidden treasures.  Mainly, KRE-O sets, anything Barbie related and/or Transformer Generations related items.  There are plenty of Transformers Prime figures and Bot Shots for those searching for those, but my main focus has been picking up discounted KRE-O sets for Austin's custom GI Joe, KRE-O/Lego sets.   We always can use parts and what better way to find unique pieces is picking up discounted sets at all of the close out and discount stores.

I got a bit carried away when I saw all of the sets they had on the shelves, but decided it would be better to put the Battleship sets back and grab all of the sets that were Transformers based.  Not to mention, grabbing all of the sets with valuable Kreons!

Yes, like a dork, I had to take a picture (notice the unprofessional shadow of an amateur) , but I needed to let the Mr. know that I had a huge haul coming home this afternoon.

The result of the first toy run was five Stealth Bumblebees, five Megatron sets, one Megatron and Prime set, one devastator set and two smaller sets which include Decepticon Ambush and Cycle Chase.

There are cool bricks found in the Devastator set, it would have been nice to find more than one.

Here of course, Austin is accessing his plan on quickly parting all of these bricks for future creations...  Hard at work!

Austin and I were discussing how Tuesday Morning has all of these great deals on toys, household goods and craft supplies, (even some books), so we decided to hit the one closest to us in Pasadena.   We scored there too.......We found three more Prime and Megatron sets and one more Bumblebee.  There was a Sentinel Prime set hanging around as well!

Two more small sets of the Cycle Chase and Decepticon Ambush!  YAY!

Now it may seem silly that we get excited over these plastic bricks and other plastic robots.  But mind you, we are not into illegal substances and we are just taking these home to play with!  Also, for Austin to use these pieces to make other things!  That's it!   It's a great feeling when you find something you like discounted and at an odd place.   Tuesday Morning gets great items! Everyone please shop there so they stay in business!

In closing, for all of you G.I. Joe fans....Check out the COBRA FANG that Austin designed..........

Transformer Generations finds of the week!

Austin and I have gotten lucky this week!  We found 4 of the Autobot Wreckers! The only one left we need to get is Top Spin!  At Toys R Us, we found Whirl, Roadbuster, Impactor and Twintist!

All are dropping at Toy R Us locations.  Springer, Blitzwing and Sandstorm are showing up at Targets.  I found Sandstorm today!  YAY!  An awesome triple changer!

The good news?  These Deluxe Generations figures have dropped down in price.  The figures on the cards have gone from 15.99 to 12.99 again.   I guess parents weren't buying them for their kids at 16.00 bucks! The boxed transformers are still around 22.00 dollars at places like Target and Walmart.  They are between 24.00 and 27.00 dollars at other retailers!  Thus, the two toy runs made this week have been pretty rewarding.

Earrings of the day and old fashioned letters!

Dollar days at Michael's gave me a chance to stock up on some jewelry supplies!  Yay!  So I have been on a black and white color scheme kick.  I wanted to use black and white natural shell beads for this pair.

Yes, pics are a bit blurry, but you get the idea.  I am using the remainder of my black plated metal findings.

End Result.....Very Geometric....

On an unrelated note, I am one of those people that still has snail mail pen pals and some of my friends still send me letters.

This is a letter from one of my close friends who is currently a camp counselor working out in the I.E. for a couple of months and hanging out with a bunch of Girls Scouts!  I have gotta answer this one and a few others.   Pen Pals are definitely a lost art!

KRE-O finds.....Anti-Anime Expo this year

I forgot that I ordered this Auto-Box t-shirts from Teefury this week!  Sometimes shirtpunch.com and http://www.teefury.com/ hit the nail on the head with their shirts.....

Still recovering from Bot Con, we decided to pass on Anime Expo this year.  Some friends were complaining about the pre-registration lines and that doesn't surprise me.  It's easier and faster to buy passes at the door for Anime Expo.  Austin got sick after Bot Con from all of the unwashed geeks at Bot Con and exposure at Anime Expo would be lethal!  Thus, today, we visited Marshall's in Monrovia and found two Prowl Kre-o sets and some Battleship Kre-o sets.

It's all about Prowl!  We have this Kreon and will throw this extra one on Ebay in the next few weeks.....

Okay, I ordered the Fat Albert Box set on Amazon months ago and was surprised to get this in the mailbox today! YAY!  I thought I wasn't going to get this until maybe mid-August.

There is a total of 110 episodes that began in the 70's and went into the 80's.  From Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids to The New Fat Albert Show to Adventures of Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids in the mid-80's.

A Band Called Death

I saw this documentary this week and it is an incredible story!  Looks like the granddaddies of punk happen to be African-American!

I flipped out when I heard this music!  They were way before their time and had a positive message.  I am glad that we all have a chance to hear their music!

Bot Con 2013 Day 3

The last day of Bot Con 2013 was full of shopping, friends, cosplay and wrapping up.  There were many deals to be made on the sales floor.

Rose poses with one of her mini Grimlock...

Taking a break in the dealers' room.....

I sat on Rosemary's cosplay panel around 1pm with a couple of other expert cosplayers. (I was Rose's support and the novice Human Former cosplayer....).  We all shared our experiences with making and wearing costumes.  The Robot Costumes are of course extremely impressive and have intricate detail.

Rose and I are talking about our Prowl items......
