It's June, time to continue to create.....

I am trying to work on more pieces as summer starts.  Time is a challenge, but I think if I don't work on something daily, I can at least stockpile some supplies!  I need to get more Semi-precious gemstones.  I love Tiger's Eye, Moonstone and Agate especially.  The glass beads have been on sale at Michael's for a few weeks and I made some simple dangle earrings below.

I love this moonstone pendant and the satin cord worked better than the braided faux leather cord.

These earrings are sterling silver with crazy jasper (dyed pink) and hematite square spacer beads.

I feel like buying lots of sliced agate pendants.  There are so many colors and not one is alike.  The colors and patterns in these pendants change over time too!

This pendant necklace with a ribbon cord has a Victorian and slightly steampunk feel.  All black and lace pattern.

This last pendant necklace below is an Agate Stone.  This is my favorite out of the bunch.  I love the pattern of this particular pendant and it's really smooth!

Recent earrings and pendant necklaces

On one glorious afternoon with my best friend, her daughter and cousin,  we made some jewelry.

I try to work on my WIPs (works in progress) as much as I can, because of my busy schedule, it can be challenging.  I shop for various beads and findings all the time.  I find many items at closeout and discount stores when I am not using coupons from Michael's or Joann's.

Below is a pair of moonstone earrings with sterling silver findings and I used some chipped moonstone beads I bought at Michael's.

This pair below has sterling silver fish hooks and agate beads.

This pair has a Onyx spacer and sterling silver fishhooks.  The stone may be a dyed crazy agate, but I am not sure.

Rose quartz beads are easy to identify and are common.  These heart shaped beads came in various sizes.

This pair has a jade spacer and sterling silver fish hooks.

This pair is all rose quartz and sterling silver.

It's fun to work with pendants and I like simple cord necklaces.  I hope to work on some bigger and longer beaded styles this summer.  Below is an Amethyst pendant necklace.

Rose Quartz....

These earrings are crazy agate with sterling silver!

Citrine pendant with a soft satin cord.

Glass beads are lightweight and beautiful.  I wanted to make a matching bracelet to go with the earrings.

These bright yellow beads and sea blue beads were a Tuesday morning find.   They became stretch bracelets.

My friend's patio table was full of stray beads even after we finished and she carefully collected some after I left for the night.  They were waiting for me the next time I stopped by!

Latest creations......

I have made a few necklaces and a pair of earrings this week.   The leather cord below is for future projects.  I have a few pendants that may work, but I am still brainstorming.  The peach moonstone bases below are for sterling silver earrings.

Below is a Sunstone pendant paired with white ribbon cord.

Below is a hematite cross with braided leather necklace cord.

And the peach moonstone earrings with sterling silver fish hooks.....

Earrings and a Sunstone Pendant!

I'm having a busy weekend so far, but I did take this morning to make a few pieces.

I used brown ribbon necklace with this beautiful Sunstone pendant with brown undertones.

Using black metal plated findings, amethyst beads, Chinese garnet beads and onyx beads, I put together some earrings.

Here is the end result.

With dyed red coral beads and onyx.......worked on a second pair.

The end result......with the square beads.

Pics are a bit blurry, need to get my camera fixed. More projects to work on this weekend.  Time to weed the garden!

Pendants of the day 3.15.13

I took two different ready pendants, rose quartz and snowflake obsidian to make satin cord necklaces.

Rose Quartz is a love and friendship stone.  In addition, it supports fertility, headaches, depression and reduces wrinkles.  This is only a few things this stone does.  I plan on elaborating with my extensive research in a future blog.

Now I have heard that Snowflake obsidian is a great weight loss stone.  I forgot where, but when I have researched it I didn't see much about it being a weight loss stone.

This particular pendant is also sterling silver and would work great with a thicker cord or thick choker.   I have read that the stone is a great purifying stone.  It is stated that it releases negative patterns and helps the wearer be open to positive change.

This stone also improves circulation which may aid in weight loss with some people, but not everyone.   Circulation is vital to the cells.
